The Great Lakes A/MH/PTTC is offering this training for individuals working in HHS Region 5: IL, IN, MI, MN, OH, WI. This training is being provided in response to a need identified by Region 5 stakeholders.
Our Race Equity Series leverages personal stories to build capacity for racial dialogue. All too often, conversations about race go awry, go underground, or are avoided completely. These conversations help participants build inclusive communities through learning experiences that integrate self-reflection, interaction, cognition and action.
Throughout, we will make a connection between Race Equity and Recovery principles, highlighting how being culturally competent is also recovery and resiliency-based.
Over the course of the series, participants gain understanding of the sometimes invisible impact of race on personal, professional, and systemic levels.
We invite you to join us. We will host 6 Virtual sessions that build on each other. The topics :
