The 2021 National Recovery Month theme, “Recovery is For Everyone: Every Person, Every Family, Every Community,” reminds people in recovery and those who support them that no one is alone in the journey through recovery. Everyone's journey is different, but we are all in this together.
National Addiction Professionals Day is held in September as a part of National Recovery Month, which aims to increase awareness and understanding of mental health and substance use disorders and celebrate people in recovery. We take time on September 20, 2021 to celebrate a vital player in the health and recovery process: addiction professionals. The day was established to commemorate the hard work that addiction professionals do on a daily basis.
