Integrating Mindfulness Into Therapeutic Practice 

Based on the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) model, this training will cover an overview of mindfulness including:

  • Origin of Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)

  • Research in the integration of MBSR into therapeutic practices

  • Ethics and practitioners’ guidelines for use of MBSR

  • Participation in two classic MBSR exercises that can be used with clients

  • Approved for class for LCSW, LPC, LMFT, PRSS, LADC, Psychologists

Nancy Bailey PhD, CAADC, CCDP/D, CET II has over 20 years of experience working with adult clients affected by substance use disorder and trauma related issues. Dr. Bailey has extensive experience in conducting customized Intensive workshops, group or individual counseling sessions, long-term client and family case management, and behavioral health care industry training and development. Nationally known in the behavioral health treatment industry, Nancy is passionate about “creating an environment where individuals, families, and groups can heal and grow in a safe and supported space.” Treatment modalities include; Post Induction Therapy (PIT), EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Equine Assisted Growth & Learning (EAGALA) model, and trauma-informed experiential methods.
