This training is for King County providers only. Register here.
In this training you will learn the core components of delivering Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) services to address patient risk or experience of alcohol use problems. SBIRT includes techniques for identifying people who may benefit from a conversation about alcohol and/or referral for treatment and having brief patient-centered conversations about reducing risks or problems associated with alcohol use. This training is designed to provide both an overview of SBIRT and its components as well as build skills in carrying out screening and brief interventions. We will do this through a combination of didactics, video demonstrations, and interactive exercises.
