New Resource: Clinical Supervision Skills Telehealth Video Demonstrations

January 24, 2023

For addiction workforce members considering the integration of new therapeutic methods into their daily practice, clinical demonstrations provide models for one’s own future behavior. With the continuing transition to use of telehealth, demonstrations specific to how useful treatment and recovery practices can be delivered via telehealth modality may be similarly useful to those in the addiction workforce who are navigating this terrain.

The Northwest ATTC has been developing a series of telehealth video demonstrations and has already published two sets, one showcasing how clinical practitioners make use of evidence-based practices (EBPs) in a telehealth environment and another showing distinct clinical interactions used in providing medication for opioid use disorder (MOUD) care via telehealth.

Now you can also check out our newest addition to this series: Clinical Supervision Skills Video Demonstrations.

This set of videos aims to provide examples of how to use specific methods taught in the Northwest ATTC clinical supervision training series. The videos follow two mock supervisees and their supervisors demonstrating clinical supervision vignettes on providing feedback, building a professional development plan, and working through a corrective action.

The supervisees in the videos are all relatively new to the field, making a more directive approach to supervision helpful for their stage of professional development. All the videos end with a “debriefing” led by trainer Paul Hunziker.
