Overdose Response and Harm Reduction

Narcan Kit

Mid-America ATTC developed a training to reduce stigma for those who use substances. The goal is to shift attitudes and improve actions, leading to better outcomes and more people in recovery. The training includes: a peer recovery support specialist sharing their experience of drug use, overdose, and navigating the care continuum; the effect of addiction on the brain; and the role stigma and biases play in delaying the recovery process. Additionally, it includes training on how to administer Narcan.

Participants will receive a kit with Narcan, fentanyl test strips, DETERRA drug deactivation system, and resources to connect people to treatment.

If you are interested in receiving this training or have questions, please email Bree at [email protected]
